About Origins

Our approach to your care

Origins' aim is to provide partnership care at the highest level, so that you can relax and enjoy your pregnancy. You will choose one of our specialists as your lead maternity carer (LMC). If your obstetrician is unavailable at any time, you will be seen by one of the other obstetricians within the practice. This system allows continuity of care - an Origins obstetrician will always be available to you, at any time of the day or night.

Your Origins care plan will include antenatal checks, screening and diagnostic tests, birth at National Women's Auckland City Hospital, private midwifery support during labour, anaesthetic and neonatal support, and postnatal midwifery care. From your first booking visit to your six-week postnatal check, we will be with you every step of the way.
