"My focus is always on two things - a healthy baby and a healthy mum. But in saying that, I can also identify with the partners. Having had three children, I know what it feels like to be a father-in-waiting. I encourage partners to attend appointments."
"I think it's important to maintain a positive state of mind during pregnancy. I help with this by acting as a filter for the vast amount of pregnancy and birth information that's out there. I want my patients to be well-informed, but I also want to keep anxiety levels down by helping them through the information overload."
"Often women come to Origins because they want more autonomy. It's not just about putting yourself in the hands of a specialist, it's about developing a pregnancy and birth plan that includes different options, so that good decisions can be made as new situations arise."
