Career (LMC) system work?

Our aim is to provide partnership care at the highest level, so that you can relax and enjoy your pregnancy. While you'll choose one of our three specialist, Dr Philip Beattie, Dr Dereck Souter or Dr Paul Robinson, as your lead maternity carer (LMC), you'll have the chance to meet each of the obstetricians during the course of your care.

Philip, Dereck and Paul cover each other for annual leave; they also alternate weekends on call. This system allows continuity of care - an Origins' obstetrician will always be available to you, at any time of the day or night.

Your care plan will include antenatal checks, diagnostic tests and screening, delivery at National Womens at Auckland City Hospital, paediatric and anaesthetic support and postnatal midwifery care. Optional services include prenatal advice, investigations of sub-fertility, private midwifery support during labour and assistance from a lactation consultant.
