Career (LMC) system work?

An obstetrician generally has the expertise to continue your care if complications arise. You won't be faced with a change of lead care person part way through your pregnancy, and you can feel reassured that you're setting yourself up for the best possible outcome.
Some women choose an obstetrician for their first pregnancy because they're not sure how things will go. Others choose an obstetrician because of previous difficulties. Whatever your situation, we believe you should make a decision that you feel is best for you and your baby.
When choosing an obstetrician, it's good to find out where they stand on issues such as epidural pain relief, elective caesareans, breastfeeding, induction of labour, the use of forceps and the presence of support people in the delivery suite.
